  • National Workforce Strategic Plan Workforce Summit

    Canada’s agriculture and food and beverage manufacturing sectors are experiencing severe chronic labour and skills shortages while growing one of Canada’s largest employment and economic sectors. A national, actionable roadmap will create the desired workforce of the future that addresses immediate labour gaps and systemic issues.

    Each summer, the CFA board gathers to discuss progress on a range of issues and plan for the coming months. The summer event also includes the annual Industry-Government Roundtable. The 2026 Summer Meeting will be held from July 15-16. This 2-day event includes the CFA Board Meeting; CFA Policy Summit; Federal/Provincial/Territorial (FPT) Minister’s Roundtable Meeting; our annual Summer Reception hosted by our local member organization, and the FPT Minister’s Reception.
