CFA Summer Board Meeting and FPT Roundtable 2024
For CFA’s upcoming Summer Meeting and FPT Roundtable, July 16-17 in Whitehorse, YK, please note the following meeting information and recommendations to assist you in your respective planning/scheduling. The CFA will be working closely with our host province to finalize further details.
CFA’s Summer board meeting will commence on the morning of Tuesday, July 16th, and will conclude at noon on July 17th. The FPT Roundtable will be held on the afternoon of July 17th. Below, you can find a high-level schedule to assist you with your travel bookings/schedule.

Online Registration: The online registration will be $500.00 CDN for CFA members, and $575.00 for non-members.
Government-Hosted Evening Reception on July 17th (MacBride Museum): The CFA will be managing our stakeholder invitations and correspondence with the Government. Capacity is limited for this event, more details will follow.

- Monday, July 15th – Yukon Agricultural Association Welcome Event (12:00 p.m. start time, location TBD) (Event at capacity, no further registrations)
- Tuesday, July 16th – (All day) – CFA BoD meeting (Best Western Gold Rush Inn)
- Tuesday, July 16th – (6:00 -8:00 p.m.) – Spirits Canada Reception (Belly of the Bison, 101 Main St, Whitehorse)
- Wednesday, July 17th – ½ day (morning) – BoD meeting (Best Western Gold Rush Inn)
- Wednesday, July 17th – (1:00-3:30 p.m.) Dean’s Council and CAHRC hosted session “Identifying the highly skilled need for the agri-food sector.“ (Sternwheeler Hotel, Learn more here, RSVP to Sharon Leslie here.)
- Wednesday July 17th – (1:00-3:30 p.m.) Value Chain Management International session “National Food Loss and Waste Study” (Sternwheeler Hotel, learn more and RSVP here) (Session only available in English)
- Wednesday, July 17th – (approx. 4:30pm Yukon time) – CFA presents to FPT Ministers at Roundtable (Best Western Gold Rush Inn, no virtual attendance)
- Wednesday, July 17th (Evening) – Government-Hosted Reception (MacBride Museum)

*We’d like to note that the meeting will be taking place during Whitehorse’s peak tourism season. CFA would recommend any restaurant reservations be made in advance, and you can find recommendations here.
